If you want to go big and smoke your own, look no further than the legend himself, Aaron Franklin. If you don’t have half a day to spare — store-bought is still great! My favorite is the Kirkland brand pulled pork, super smoky and delicious.
There are countless options out there for pickles and BBQ sauce, use your favorites! I like a BBQ sauce with a little heat, like Kinder’s Hot BBQ, and some punchy vinegar forward pickles like Grillo’s to balance the richness of the pork.
